Visibility and Water Conditions:

The Andaman Sea offers excellent visibility, often exceeding 20 meters, providing clear views of the underwater world. The water temperature ranges from 26 to 30 degrees Celsius, making it comfortable for diving throughout the year.

Best Time to Dive:

The Andaman Islands have a tropical climate, and diving is possible year-round. However, the best time for diving is considered to be from November to April when the sea is generally calm, and visibility is at its peak.

Key points to consider before diving:

  • Participants must be between 10 to 50 years old and free from medical conditions.
  • No swimming skills required.
  • Allow a minimum of 24 hours between diving and any flights.
  • No major surgeries within the past year.
  • Individuals with heart problems or high blood pressure are not permitted.
  • Travelers with sinus issues are advised against diving.
  • Tailored practice sessions last up to 15 minutes in chest-deep water. 
  • Professional instructors guide beginners through standard training procedures.
  • Diving times range from 30 to 50 minutes, depending on the chosen package.

The hourly breakdown for shore diving is approximately:

  • Training: 15 to 25 minutes
  • Underwater exploration: 30 minutes
  • Miscellaneous (preparation, debriefing, etc.): 60 to 80 minutes

Itinerary

  • Upon arrival at the dive shop, you’ll complete necessary paperwork including an indemnity and medical form. 
  • Once cleared for diving, you’ll don a wetsuit and watch a brief training video. 
  • Accompanied by a Dive Instructor, you’ll proceed to the beach for hands-on training in underwater communication and basic skills. 
  • With your instructor’s guidance, you’ll gradually descend to a depth of up to 12 meters, exploring the underwater wonders.
