If you’re staying in Havelock for three nights, consider opting for this activity on day three, especially if you’re seeking an adrenaline rush. Boat diving offers a unique diving experience where, instead of diving from the beach, you board a dive boat and travel to a predetermined dive site, reminiscent of scenes from movies.

Premium boat diving is available at Havelock Island, specifically at Turtle Beach, which is a 20-minute boat ride away.

Training: 15 to 25 minutes

Best Time to Dive:

The Andaman Islands boast a tropical climate, making them an ideal year-round destination for diving. However, the best time to experience the pristine underwater beauty is during the dry season, from October to May. During these months, the visibility is exceptional, the seas are calm, and marine life is abundant, ensuring an unforgettable diving experience.

Important Points to Consider:

No swimming skills required.
Participants aged 10 to 50 are eligible, with those over 50 requiring a doctor’s certificate.
Allow 24 hours between diving and flights.
No major surgeries within the past year.
Individuals with heart or blood pressure issues are not permitted.
Travelers with sinus problems are not allowed.

How does it work

Upon arrival at the dive shop, you’ll complete an indemnity and medical form.
Once cleared, you’ll change into a wetsuit and watch a short training video.
Accompanied by your instructor, you’ll proceed to the beach for underwater communication and basic skills training.
You’ll then take a boat to the nearby dive site, Turtle Beach, just 20 minutes from Havelock Island.
There, you’ll dive straight off the boat, exploring depths of up to 12 meters under your instructor’s guidance.
